Rhodope mountain range is the most Ancient feature of all in Bulgaria and the Balkans. In this secret corner of the European continent a colourful mixture of Slavic and Turkish people lives. Located in the most southern part of the Rhodopes, the area of Ivaylovgrad enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Olive trees and Laurel show it. Here you can find some of the most virgin forests in Bulgaria.

Krumovgrad is a stunning nature area - Krumovitsa river, Dolna kula birding site and Devil's canyon are part of this unspoilt region. Golden Oriole, Short-toed Eagle and Roller are some of the bird attractions.
