Ismaros is a small and low mountain in Northern Greece - between Alexandroupolis and Komotini. An area of unspoilt nature, Ismaros features rich biodiversity and semi-open landscape with meadows, forests and agricultural land.

Rhodope mountain range is the most Ancient feature of all in Bulgaria and the Balkans. In this secret corner of the European continent a colourful mixture of Slavic and Turkish people lives. The Rhodope mountains in Bulgaria is one of the last remaining places in Europe to see wolves, brown bears, lynx and birds of prey in the wild.

Sakar is an area of majestic raptors and some of the largest vineyards in Bulgaria. Low agricultural land, mixed with oak forests and open lanscape.

One of Europe’s most spectacular birds - the Wallcreeper and Nutcracker breeds in the majestic rock cliffs of Trigrad gorge in Bulgaria.

Lake Kerkini is an artificial lake in Northern Greece, Prefecture of Central Macedonia which was created and turned into paradise for marsh birds like Dalmatian Pelican, Greater Flamingo and Pygmy Cormorant.

Dragoman is the biggest karst lake in Bulgaria, comprising a wetland of an outstanding European value.

Madzharovo is literally located in the center of volcano’s crater, erupted over 35 million years ago. As a result of the volcanic activity, in the rocks around the city are found precious and semiprecious stones.

As a hub of different ethnicities Kardzhali has managed to preserve and maintain multiple operating temples. The city’s official holiday is October 21 – on this date in 1912 Kardzhali was added to the territory of Bulgaria, having till then been within the Ottoman Empire.
